Here is something quite different from what I've done before. Not to much of a sound or style change but I've added some african percussion instumentation to the song, along with a pretty scary sounding scale (which according to wikipedia is the Ukranian Minor (or Dorian #4) scale). Take a listen and let me know what you think of it so far if you could be kind enough to do so :)
Just an addition to the crazy polymeters that this song started as. Goes into a verse, then back to the main riff, and then to just a completely new thing that takes it into more of a metal feel. Take a listen and let me know what you think :)
Here's something I came up with while I was jamming today. Some crazy polymeters going on, makes it a pain in the ass to play. Guitar is playing an alternating 5/8, 2/4 over the drums which just cruise along at 9/4. It's just very interesting to me how it all came out. But, enjoy :)
Another jewish scale song although it does not stay strict to it the whole way through. I tried to make this flow as well as I could and it definitely does seem to (At the start at least). The solo was also designed to be more melodic and well paced than my usual stuff though it doesn't sound as good as I would have wanted it to.
I came up with the intro riff while fooling about on guitar and then I found out it was part of the Jewish Scale. So now I have my first Jewish Scale song. Its a bit repetative but it has quite a nic feel to it. It also is not in the lower end of my 7-string tuning so it actually sounds a bit lighter than usual.
