i suck at bass, now its slow so i can play it

The chorus is pretty simplistic but it sounds pretty good (If I do say so my self) Need some advice on where to go. Go down the dark route or should I go acoustic?

This is my first thingy, but so far this is all I have. It's only the intro, and part of the first verse, but I plan on finishing it. Ummm, please rate and leave some constructive criticism, I would love to have more experienced help so I can better my writing skillz, especially rhythm guitar parts.
