I love me some Napalm death. They definitely don't hold the record nowadays though for the shortest song. There are loads of grindcore bands that do crazy shit. Anal cunt made an EP with thousands of microsongs and combined to them to make a clusterfucking wall of satanic NOISE!!!

Hate grindcore. it is just noise to me. they just try to play as fast as they can while trying to sound heavy while sacrificing all the goodness that music offers.

Sounds to me like you are totally misinformed about what grindcore actually is. As most people are. And grindcore bands don't "try" to sound heavy. Grindcore is the definition of heavy.

Why is it everyone gets so touchy about music. Some people like certain types of music, others lie other types of music and we all have our own opinions so everyone is going to disagree about somethiing. But actually arguing over it is a pretty stupid thing to do in my opinion.

And some people either don't understand a certain type of music or don't know what it is and it is very annoying when people insult a genre as if their opinion is fact rather than opinion.

and idk much about grindcore actually. the only time I heard it was when my friend showed me Animal Farm (not the Orwell book) and they were just a comedic band.

Was it Lee Dorian singing with Napalm Death when they recorded "scum" (a bunch of fast and short songs), or was it Barney Greenway?

I've heard Dorian's new band named Cathedral, and his album "forest equilibrium". It's slow yet sicker than all speed metal I've heard.

It was Dorian in Scum. I'm not much of a fan of Scum. Napalm death's later work is amazing though. Grind bands like Nasum, Rotten Sound and Agorophobic nosebleed are fantastic. And yes Re. Cathedral are excellent.
