Rox might be right, it depends on what is your goal. Imagine what your croud will shout when your having a break in between your intro and your main riff... But if your just planning to record it without the live side of music, you're right, this kind of music sounds just great once recorded.

well dude, I have to say, you've done better. This is cool, especially what you did at 16 with the chaotic drums and then transition to the smoother sound, but it lacks a change in feel. You did have a breakdown in the middle but the riff you have has almost too much of a similar feel. A great song has a change in pace, different feelings throughout. This was a little anti-climactic, which is dire when not played live. Live, this song would probably be fun but recorded, it wouldn't do too well. Ik, I ripped up your song and I'm sorry but that is the horrible truth with songs like this :( they just don't do well recorded.

I feel like you just don't really appreciate this type of music, and that's totally fine with me. But you really have no idea how well songs like these actually do once recorded. The audience for this genre has already been established and is still rapidly growing. I think you'll be surprised in the next couple of years with the direction things are going.

There's something about the drum that sounds really heavy. And for the overall dissonance, don't worry, we probably don't even ear the same thing from one computer to another.

You're right that I don't like this style, but that doesn't mean I don't appreciate it. I try to appreciate everything that comes up here, I really do, but sometimes there are certain songs that I just can't. This one I do appreciate. And trust me, I LOVE my death metal (Death, At The Gates, In Flames, etc) but frequent breakdowns just aren't my thing. I love them when appropriate. And when a song lacks a sense of climax it kills me because that is the IT factor of a song. And trust me, I'm already surprised where the music business is going, but we gotta adapt and you're doing just that so you'll have a bigger audience than me. Anyway...I did kinda like this song, but I crave a climax, so there is my bias.
