with drums, the easiest is to either double or half the time of cymbals/double bass. If you wanna get fancy then you throw drum fills in more frequently. Guitar parts, with you just copy the bass for rhythm and lead have it play something melodic while using the chord tones (root, 3rd, 5th, 7th). That is the basics really. If you want more advanced stuff I'd be happy to revise your changes.
someone sounds like a bassist here :P
anyway it's pretty good. kinda repetitive because you repeat sections that would alone be good enough as a whole section. but this is solid man. and it is definitely rock, but if you wanna be specific I 'd say this is prog rock.
My ears are not use to it, but I probably won't be bored listening to that stuff.
Definitely the intro! Maybe measure 28 but it'd be better if it repeated with some varied drums. Measure 70 you should definitely think about losing the repeat. Measure 87, I like the repeat there but it'd be cool if you cud do some dirty bass lead stuff there since you're already in the higher octave. And measure 95 I'd probably lose the repeat but that one isn't so dire as the others.
lol good call. which parts do you think shouldnt be repeated?
awesome. im not really too skilled at writing guitar parts and avoiding repetition while keeping song structure. any tips?
